Head Start and Early Head Start Program

What is Early Head Start?
A Home Base program that provides comprehensive and intensive services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers through age three. Our mission is promoting healthy prenatal outcomes, enhancing the development of very young children, and promoting healthy family functioning.

How Does The Program Work?
Our qualified and experienced Home Base Visitors offer support to parents/guardians and their children by: visiting with you in your home once a week. The visits last for 90 minutes with the parents and home visitors working together to ensure the needs of the families are being met, and or providing resources that the family can use.

How Do You Qualify For Early Head Start?
To be enrolled in the program you must fill out an application and meet the following:

  • income eligibility guidelines
  • live in the service area of Clark County
  • be pregnant OR/
  • have a child/ children who are younger than three years old.
